Lindsay Lohan’s Cady Harris may have snagged Jonathan Bennett’s Aaron Samuels as her boyfriend in Mean Girls, but Jaymes Vaughan tied the knot with Jonathan Bennett just this week with a heartwarming “I do.”
Former The Amazing Race star Jaymes Vaughan proposed to Mean Girls star Jonathan Bennett back in November 30th last year with a beautiful, original song and an equally beautiful engagement ring.
The rings, an engagement ring and wedding band all in one, were commissioned and designed from Kay Jewelry by Vaughan himself when he decided he wanted something unique for their same-sex relationship.
The design was simple. From the sides, the wedding bands are just that—a simple band of 14k white gold. But viewed from the front they’re engagement rings too, embedded with a total diamond weight of ½ carat diamond which looks absolutely stunning paired with their wedding suits.
The pair married at a resort just south of Cancun at the Unico Riviera Maya Hotel. Their goal for the wedding was inclusivity, to make their guests and those seeing the photos feel welcomed.
Vaughan told People magazine, “When you’re part of the LGBTQ+ fam, not everything in the wedding space is for you yet. The whole purpose of our wedding is to come together and join the two of us together, join our families together and start a new family.”
