Despite the film adaptation of the LGBTQ+ rom-com global sensation Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston releasing during the writing strikes of last year, it did not slow down the fame the film saw its way to the top of Amazon's lists for weeks after its release.
Due to the success of the film, Amazon decided to go ahead with a sequel for the film and will have Taylor Zakhar Perez Nicholas Galitzine reprising their roles as Alex Claremont and Prince Henry. It is unknown who else will be returning to reprise their roles from the first film, but it can be guessed that much of the main cast like Alex's press team and Henry's best friend and sister might return.
The film will not be based off any previous book material, but that does not mean there wouldn't be a book adaptation that follows more closely with the plots and characters featured in the book that were cut out from the plot of the film adaptation of Red, White and Royal Blue.
It is unknown when the film will be released nor is it yet revealed what the plot points of the sequel will entail. Though, fans and press alike are guessing Red, White and Royal Blue 2 may end as the story begin: with a big royal wedding and a way too expensive cake for the occassion.
