Baseball season has finally started (Mets and Yankees won opening day!) and spring is trying to bloom in the northeast. The Washington Post reports that the wedding industry is booming even though this incarnation of coronavirus is shutting down Broadway again (married stars Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker had to pause Plaza Suite due to the virus, while Daniel Craig’s Macbeth went dark for a few days and the cast of the new musical Suffs was hit so hard that they delayed opening for a week). But that’s not really the news we live and breathe.
JLo and Ben Affleck, affectionately known as Bennifer, are doing the official “Second Chance at Love” with the announcement of a second engagement two decades after their first. JLo displayed the gigantic emerald engagement ring on her OnTheJLo.com where you can sign up for her newsletter.
But I am happy for them. They’re the Liz and Dick of my generation.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn Beckham (son of super star couple David and Victoria Beckham) married a millionaire’s daughter, Nicola Peltz, in a star-studded $4 million extravaganza in Palm Beach, Florida. The wedding festivities were attended by the likes of all Victoria’s fellow Spice Girls, the Williams sisters, Eva Longoria, Ramsey Gordon and Snoop Dogg as the DJ and Bruno Mars serenading the couple.
