I was so disappointed, but I can’t say I’m completely shocked.
Although Theresa Nist and Gerry Turner tried really hard to tell us they were in love, I always felt that Gerry might just like what she had to offer him a little more than she liked what he had to offer. I thought the financial power dynamic might be off, and there was a pre-nup.
But hey, they seem to have tried.
According to reports, and an interview on GMA, the couple found that finding the right place for the two of them to live was just too much She lived in New Jersey; he had his Lake House in Indiana, and they were looking at houses in South Carolina and just couldn’t find anything so they just called the whole thing off.
I can read between the lines.
But, hey, ABC is offering us a Golden Bachelorette, and Drew Barrymore suggested it be a Celebrity Golden Bachelorette with the likes of Meryl Streep, Sharon Stone or Diane Keaton. They haven’t chosen the Bachelorette yet, so who knows?
