Clooney and Roberts have worked together many times, over their careers in such films as Ocean’s Eleven, Ocean’s Twelve, and Money Monster. This time, the actors, who are friends, will be working together again in a romantic comedy, set in Bali.
According to an article in The Hollywood Reporter, Ticket to Paradise features a divorced couple who travel to the tropical Indonesian island to stop their daughter from making the same mistake of getting married too young that they made 25 years ago.
Ol Parker. the director of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, will direct the Universal/Working Title film. The movie will begin shooting later this year and the studio hopes to release the film in theaters.
