We just got word after midnight that pop singer Katy Perry, 36, and actor Orlando Bloom, 43, who have been together for three years, are expecting their first child. This news was made public through the release of Perry’s newest video for the song “Never Worn White” in which her baby bump can be seen! Her publicist also confirmed her pregnancy.
The lyrics to the song also tell the story about how Perry yeans to “get it right” and, according to Variety, infers that the two are on their way to the wedding aisle, as she reveals in the verse, “You asked the question / I said yes, but I’m scared” and also at the top of the clip, when the bride’s march plays as an intro. The last words of the song are “I do.” So we don’t think it’s unrealistic to expect a wedding in the near future.
Perry’ love life has been public fodder for years, with her disastrous marriage to British comedian Russell Brand, who supposedly texted her with his desire for a divorce after 14 months of marriage. She was also linked to ladies’ man John Mayer.
Bloom was previously married to actress Miranda Kerr, with whom he has a son. Before Kerr, he was linked to actress Kate Bosworth, but Perry and Bloom have been a steady item since January 2016 when they attended the Golden Globe Awards together.
