First Ever Superbowl Ad Featuring Drag Queens, Miz Cracker and Kim Chi
Finally, drag queens are stepping into the American limelight as drag queens Kim Chi Kiki and Miz Cracker will be the first ever drag queens to be featured in a Super Bowl Ad, along with Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Caroline Manzo and Teresa Giudice and… T-Pain?
The teaser’s released before the Super Bowl features three hilarious, and quite random, ads for the famous company Sabra for their hummus.
The first ad features Caroline Manzo and Teresa Giudice eating some chips and hummus at the same table together. Their demeanors are cold, and their exchanges are, well, what you’d expect from Real Housewives celebrities with over the topic Italian accents and exaggerated facial expressions.
According to PinkNews, “The pair had a memorable falling out during the 2014 series of Real Housewives – Manzo’s last – and have reportedly not spoken since.”
Wonder how they got the two together then? Anything for the Superbowl, I guess.
T-Pain is spotted excitedly screaming “are you ready for some hummus?” So you know, T-Pain just being T-Pain. The usual.
And then we have Kim Chi, famous for RuPaul’s Drag Race season eight, and Miz Cracker, famous for RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10, are dressed in their best drag, snacking on some chips and Sabra hummus, while Miz Cracker tries to slide on a football helmet over her wig. Kim Chi watches with a perturbed look, with a mouthful of sabra hummus and chips. Got to love her.
When chief marketing officer Jason Levine was asked about the creative direction of the commercial, he said, “he wanted to bring a diverse group of personalities to the table and show how incredibly versatile, relevant and relatable hummus is today.”
“We think we’ve got something for everyone,” he said.
