OK, this one excites me.
I have missed Nora Ephron so badly, but who better to channel Ephron’s romcom secret sauce than Meg Ryan, who played not one, but three of her iconic romcom leads (When Harry Met Sally, You’ve Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle)?
The plot is pretty standard. A second-chance-at-love meet-cute in an airport during winter storm flight delays for a couple that broke up 25 years ago. David Duchovny plays the love interest.
Here’s the description: “Indefinitely delayed, Willa, a magical thinker, and Bill, a catastrophic one, find themselves just as attracted to — and annoyed by — one another as they did decades earlier. But as they unpack the riddle of their mutual past and compare their lives to the dreams they once shared, they begin to wonder if their reunion is mere coincidence, or something more enchanted.”
But once you watch the trailer, you can see that the magic is there.
