So while we were all focusing on the glamorous Bennifer wedding this weekend, Mark Zuckerberg’s bestselling author sister Sheryl Sandberg, 52, remarried in an opulent, yet understated western-themed wedding.
The author of Lean In, a girl boss manifesto that urged women to aggressively pursue their place at the corporate table, married Tom Bernthal, 49, the founder and former CEO of Kelton Global on Saturday in Wyoming.
Sandberg’s first husband had died in a horrific gym accident in 2015 leaving her the mother of two, while Bernthal was previously married and has three children, all of whom attended the wedding. Sandberg was introduced to Bernthal by her late husband’s brother, who officiated the wedding.
According to People magazine, “in a sweet nod to their five children, when the couple got engaged in 2020, Bernthal popped the question with a ring featuring five tiny hidden diamonds underneath the setting.”
The couple asked that guests donate to VOW and CARE to fund anti-child marriage programs and poverty alleviation efforts in lieu of gifts.
