A few years ago, Airbnb had an online contest to reserve two nights in a real Barbie Malibu Dream house in California.
Now that the Barbie movie is coming out on July 21, Airbnb has “Kenified” the Dream House (still extremely pink) with a two-free night stay (the description says Ken couldn’t figure out how to charge for the stay because his thing is beach not math).
According to the p.r., “We all have dreams, and Barbie is lucky enough to have a house full of them,” said Ken. “But now, it’s my turn, and I can’t wait to host guests inside these one-of-a-kind – dare I say, one-of-a-Ken? – digs.”
The house offers a Ken wardrobe of men’s beach clothes, skateboards, surf boards, and a disco room. Guests will take home a piece of the Kendom with their very own set of yellow-and-pink Impala skates and surfboards. There’s a grill with fake meat too.
There is also the fabulous infinity pool overlooking the ocean and that legendary pink slide.
Airbnb says that “to honor girls’ empowerment” they will make a one-time donation to Save the Children to tie in with the movie release.
The contest starts July 17th at 10:00 a.m. PT. airbnb.com/kendreamhouse.
