While it’s not the famed We Love NY Homecoming Concert, there’s another big concert streaming from the Great Lawn in Central Park today featuring the likes of J Lo, LL Cool Jay, Lizzo, Cyndi Lauper and Coldplay, to name just a few. The concert, hosted by Global Citizen is intended to raise awareness on how the world needs to unite to fight climate change and the pandemic. Timed to coincide with the UN General Assembly and G20 climate meetings, the festival culminates in Global Citizen Live concert, a 24-hour music festival spanning six continents and featuring hundreds of the world’s top recording artists and celebrities.
Performers are joining in from around the world, although the concert in Central Park is the headliner, in my humble opinion (but I live in NYC). Other entertainers preforming on the New York stage are Billie Eilish, Camila Cabello, Meek Mill, and Shawn Mendes. Big names from other locations include Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Ed Sheeran, Adam Lambert, Duran Duran, as well as many emerging and local artists.

New York City: Performances by Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Camila Cabello, Jennifer Lopez, Lizzo, Meek Mill, and Shawn Mendes; special guest performances by Alessia Cara, Burna Boy, Cyndi Lauper, Jon Batiste, and Lang Lang; and appearances by Amber Ruffin, Andy Cohen, Billy Porter, Bonang Matheba, Bridget Moynahan, Connie Britton, Deborra-lee Furness, Desus Nice and The Kid Mero, Dikembe Mutombo, Katie Holmes, Nomzamo Mbatha, Padma Lakshmi, Rachel Brosnahan, Skip Marley, and Tan France, presented by Citi and Cisco.
