In celebration of what have been Beatle john Lennon’s 80th birthday and the newly released album titled Gimme Some Truth. The Ultimate Mixes, a collection of 36 of John Lennon’s most vital and best loved songs from his solo career, the Empire State Building was lit up last night in a sky blue light with a peace sign.
The album was produced by Yoko Ono Lennon, John Lennon’s widow, and Sean Ono Lennon, the son of John Lennon, who shares his dad’s birthday
Partnered with the John Lennon Estate and Universal Music Group planned the lighting to coincide with not only the album, but his 80th birthday celebrated today. The lights will remain on until 2:00 a.m. EDT tonight.
