Lady Gaga Hosting One World Together Fundraising Concert Tonight with Massive Rock, Pop and Hip Hop


Lady Gaga is curating a huge televised and streaming concert for Global Citizen titled One World: Together at Home to raise funds for the global pandemic which is being touted as the Coronavirus answer to Live AID. As of this writing the line up includes more than 40 performers such as Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, Elton John, Taylor Swift, Billie Ellis, Sam Smith, John Legend, Stevie Winder, Liza, Céline Dion, LL Cool J and Jennifer Lopez, among others with special appearances by Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres.

The MC’s of the event will be comedians and late night talk show hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon.

Though the concert is free, Global Citizen is raising funds to help pandemic workers through the World Health Organization. Funding for the concert has comes from international sponsors that have already committed $40 million.

"At this critical moment in history, Global Citizen is also calling on individuals, governments, and philanthropists to join and support immediate COVID-19 response efforts," a statement from the organization said. "Changemakers, investors and foundation leaders are being urged to actualize their giving and invest quickly in related efforts, like stronger health systems and vaccine development.”
