Celebrity Weddings Cancelled Due to Coronavirus

April 10, 2020

Most of us have relatives or friends who are delaying their weddings due to the uncertainty of when, and if, we will ever be able to congregate again.  I think it’s safe to say that most June weddings are off this year.

But so are a lot of celebrity weddings, and somehow, that makes me feel like, yes, they are just like us.

First on the list of cancelled weddings are Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, who just announced the coming birth of their first child right at the beginning of the Coronavirus outbreak.

Actress Emma Stone and Dave McCary, an SNL writer, were going to get married in April after announcing their engagement in December, but they have delayed the event until the pandemic is over.

Taraji P. Henson and Kelvin Hayden were originally going to get married in April, then pushed it forward to June, and now they are thinking they’ll just have “a backyard wedding” sometime this summer.

The royal wedding of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi was called off due to the viral outbreak, but some say it might have been delayed anyway because of the unseemly behavior of Prince Andrew in the fallout from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.  Who knows, maybe when all this is over, the UK will actually want the distraction of a royal wedding.

The Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent & Randall Emmett, her movie producer fiancé, have announced that they have delayed their April wedding until July, but, honesty, who knows?

Dennis Quaid & Laura Savoie were going to wed in October, but now, especially after living together under quarantine, they are going to postpone the wedding until things change
