Whenever I would hear men say “What do women want?” or “I don’t understand women,” I have always said to myself, “why don’t they just read romance novels? It’s a blueprint.” So now, a group of men have started a romance book club on zoom, and author Jason Rodger, a former Olympian athlete, has written an article about in the July issue of Men’s Health to give us a bird’s eye view.  It’s a must read for any romance-reader of any gender or sexual persuasion.

Last night Lambda Literary, an organization that nurtures and advocates for LGBTQ writers, hosted the Bespoke reading series, in hopes of gaining donations for the hardships the nonprofit organization has fallen upon in recent times due to the coronavirus pandemic.

To celebrate the final day of the National Poetry Month, the American Academy of Poets will host Shelter in Poems: A Virtual Reading of Uplifting Poems to Bring Us Together on Thursday, April 30th at 7:30 p.m. E.T. 

“As National Poetry Month comes to a close, many of us will have weathered a month of solitude in an act of solidarity to protect each other. During these weeks, poetry has brought us all closer together even as we remain physically apart,” the academy’s website stated.
