President Trump’s first campaign rally has received backlash from the very beginning of his announcement. Initially, the rally was scheduled for Juneteenth, the holiday which commemorates the ending of slavery in the United States. Issues came up even further as this year is the 99th anniversary of the Tulsa Massacre, in which hundreds of Black people were murdered by a white mob, destroying and burning down what was known as a prosperous black community..

Due to the combination of these two events, in addition to the Black Lives Matter mov...

When I woke up this morning and began the daily ritual of checking my phone’s notifications, I was greeted with several news articles about a new Supreme Court ruling that was handed down. “What could it be?” I thought. “Something on abortion? Perhaps legal immunity?” Nope, it was a ruling upholding LGBTQ+ workplace protections.

It slowly dawned on me, a transgender woman living in the American south, that I now had legal protections in employment via the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (also known as Title VII) thanks to this new landmark ruling....

Editor’s Note: For most queer people the Pride parades celebrated across the world in the month of June are some of the happiest days of the year. The nearly 100 Polish municipal or local governments have pledged to “refrain from acts that encourage tolerance and must avoid providing financial assistance to NGOs working to promote equal rights.”

Shortly after this vote activists revealed the extent of the anti-LGBT zones in Poland through an “Atlas of Hate...

2020 is already off to a hard start for the mainstream publishing industry with the fall from grace of the #RWAshitshow, followed by the fallout from the publishing of American Dirt and now the surprise Black History Month re-publication of a dozen “classic” novels with new covers featuring, not one but five, different “diverse” interpretations.

This roll-out of Diverseeditions.com was the brainchild of Barnes & Nobles and Random House who were planning on hosting a panel discussion at the flagship B & N store on Fifth Avenue in New York on...

Enrique Salanic

The latest example of president Trump’s aggressive policy on travel restrictions and in particular his stance towards people from south of the border comes as Los Angeles-based distributor Outsider Pictures says it is running out of options to bring Enrique Salanic into the county to promote the film.

The fast-rising, US-educated actor earned strong reviews for his lead performance in the Venice 2018 premiere as an impoverished 19-year-old gay man who lives with his mother and falls in love for the first time.

The film launche...
